Today we were up at 6.30am to head to the airport to spend Christmas in Laos. We used up most of our Dong on an expensive bottle of red wine to crack open on Christmas morning (yes morning, Robin doesn't like champagne so we it's an alternative to a champagne breakfast, on which note, I would kill for a nice glass of veurve or a cocktail at Harvey Nics / Andaz, i hope you're all having an extra one for me!).
We arrived in luang prabang at 11am and its lovely, really laid back and beautiful (pic is our view at the moment, where we're having a drink by the river).
We had a delicious lunch of veggie curry (it's nice having spicy / ediable food again) and Mekong river weed which was yum.
Plan for Christmas is to head out tonight for some drinks to see in Christmas day and tomorrow I think it'll be a swim in the pool followed by a day out on bikes looking around the island, stopping for food and drink at every possible location! There is a Christmas BBQ on at one if the bars so we may head there.
