Plumped for a private taxi for the two hour trip to Sucre after our bodies both wholeheartedly rejected the 1 peso empanadas we got from the smiley lady in the market and we feared repercussions of travel trapped on a local bus with no toilet.
Spent most of our time in Sucre either hiding in a western owned cafe trying out various means to fix ourselves or sunning ourselves in deckchairs overlooking the city.
Did however manage to watch a parade calling for Sucre to be named the official capital rather than simply the constitutional captial of Bolivia instead of La Paz....no, we don't really understand either.
And we also boarded the Dino train for a round trip to the Parque Cretacico....Bols answer to Jurassic Park! This is where over 5000 dino footprints were uncovered a few years ago on a vertical wall.
Apparently the wall was flat millions of years ago but tectonic action moved it.....we were sceptical too....especially when we discovered this was on the site of a concrete factory! Had fun posing with the lifesize models tho'!
Onwards to La Paz...The highest capital in the World....!
