Our final morning on the boat was more relaxation. We paused for another swim and this time Tessa jumped out of her bedroom window whilst Vikki bombed from the upper deck. All we had to do today was relax. So we did. Tessa led the way in diving off the boat - although others just bombed. We were taken across the lake to Matusadona National Park. We moored up and went on the launches for a game drive cruising gently through the drowned trees to see elephants, crocodiles, hippos, fish eagles and antelope. The sunset was beautiful. We were thoroughly spoilt by the chef for dinner - having a choice of roast pork and roast chicken.

A sleep in! Which meant we were up by 0700 and looking for hot drinks. Thankfully Ali had also woken early so were able to get the charcoal out and boil water. The morning was spent organising what we wanted to take on our 2 night houseboat R&R. Before departing for the boat we started a murder game - each of us took 3 slips of paper (one name, one weapon, one scenario). First activity for the day was to do a huge shop before crossing the border into Zimbabwe where supplies are low in volume & variety. We had the challenge of Sunday shopping hours but the second large mall we went to was opening at 0900. We were allowed 2 hours so we stopped first for a proper coffee. Another long drive today (11 hours) to get to Lusaka the capital of Zambia. Most of the day was spent gazing out of the window with music playing in our ears watching the country go past and waving at the locals.
