We had to check out again this morning and put our bags in the third hotel of Sapa, luckily it was about 4 doors down so we just had to dump our bags and check in later on. The weather was gorgeous today, no fog this morning just the odd couple of clouds!
We had our farewell meal with Caroline before she headed off to Hanoi, we won't see her again now. Maybe if she's in London or we pop over and have a few skiing lessons from her in Switzerland! Haha.
We got a moped with Sarah and Mike for the day before they leave for Hanoi. So all goodbyes today!
We went back up to the silver waterfalls and the love waterfalls, today we managed to see some incredible scenery which we were unaware was actually there. The mountains were absolutely incredibly large! The rice paddies were not in blooming but still gave an impressive show!
We we totally gobsmacked at how much we were surrounded by and couldn't actually see!
The view point was really windy and blew Mike's hat off, good job there were trees there to stop it from going all the way down the hill.
These mountains are incredible, even though the haze is preventing us from seeing them in all their glory we can still see the outlines of them in the distance which is good enough!
We took the road back down and avoided the police officers guarding the road that we came out of, obviously we aren't up to the challenge of whether the police officers want to be mean and stop the westerners on a bike and check us for our 'blue card' which is something you need to ride a bike and hire a bike in Vietnam. Obviously the majority of people don't get stopped but lonely planet scares you and tells you if you get pulled over without a blue card the bike gets impounded and you have to pay up fee to release it. (We knew this the whole time we have hired bikes in Vietnam but just didn't want to worry you guys!) hehe.
We drove back through the town and went back down towards the black humong villages, the views were beautiful! Of course some selfie moments and go pro shots were needed.
Afterwards we checked into the hostel, we went to our room and there was one double bed and a single bed so we thought that we put in the wrong room because this didn't seem like a dorm room to us. We had a tv and a really nice bathroom aswell! We weren't going to complain incase they moved us!
We played the pub quiz tonight, we came joint last but one! Good effort really! We paired up with a couple from America who are teaching in South Korea. Everyone we meet have such crazy jobs and lives!
