The last day before we head out to the airport. We got ready early as the train was 09:15AM in Brasov down to Bucharest, we had to walk down to the bus stop from our apartment and get the number 4 or 1A to the station, we were in the right place because there were people with suitcases so just follow them haha.
The bus was a little delayed coming so a little push on getting to station but we managed and only paid for one person because it was too hard to get a breakfast and coffee before heading to the station and our bus was there pretty much straight away still 1st class but coach 3 this time, a little busier but no place for us to put the suitcases so they took up a 4th seat until someone wanted to sit there and we needed to move them. The seats were bigger, we were by a window and we were facing the right direction this time! It felt a little longer even though it wasn't. We got to Bucharest for about 11:35AM and this time we were staying in a apartment close to the train station (400M away) because we were going to need to get back to the station the day after and we didn't need to go back into the old town or march with cases through the streets because thats too much hard work unnecessary and it was way too hot for worrying about that.
Once we got into the building we were surprised with how much bigger a studio it was, a bit of a dodgy or old building should we say but everything seemed fine in the apartment though.
We decided not to do the big huge thermal spas as we have done one in Hungary and the weather was too warm to go inside. Instead we walked further up the streets, what seemed like the posh end or the embassy end of the city and a humungous park with a lake and skate parks, a Japanese blossom tree where they were having a Japanese day and lots of restaurants on the the side of the lake or river that were seafood and had a lovely view with some cold beers. By the time we had strolled around and carried out a pub crawl back down the streets towards our hotel we found a restaurant outside the apartment and had some dinner and a bottle of wine before going to bed for what was supposed to be an early night but was more of a late night by the time we were served and ate dinner.
What a lovely holiday for EID, with no annual leave days required haha! Another 10 weeks before we meet again for summer!
