We actually set an alarm for the first time, another beautiful sunny morning, it took 2 and a half hours to get up have breakfast and leave, let's hope we can cut that down in the next few weeks. A quick shop in the Carrefour that feels like our local and on to the bike shop for inner tubes in Pont l'Eveque (everyone else was in the cheese shop). Today was the hottest day by far. We decided that the last two days we hadn't done anything that strenuous so we went on a large cycle ride around the area. At the beginning there was a steep hill. Then, a bit further along Dads inner tube blew up and we spent 20 minutes trying to fix it, with no success. Because if this, dad went off on a shorter route while the rest of us finished the full circuit (a gruelling experience!!). Afterwards we cooled off in the pool...

Today, we visited one of the D-day memorials, by the beach. We went round both of the museums, as there were 2 different parts to the museum. We watched 2 different films in the museums, one was in a 360 degree cinema!! We also had our 1st ice cream of the holiday. It was a really fun and interesting day and was very enjoyable!! Rory

After getting checked for contraband at Portsmouth (behind 2 patients of mine form Droitwich!!) the crossing was great. The pub meal in The Ship and Castle stayed down. Spent the morning being tourists in Hotnfleur. Lovely old port with lots of oldie worldly streets. More restaurants per square metre than anywhere else we've been.
