We actually set an alarm for the first time, another beautiful sunny morning, it took 2 and a half hours to get up have breakfast and leave, let's hope we can cut that down in the next few weeks. A quick shop in the Carrefour that feels like our local and on to the bike shop for inner tubes in Pont l'Eveque (everyone else was in the cheese shop). Then off to Paris, taking in on the way Monets gardens in Giverny, we had a picnic in a big field and then in the sweltering mid day sun went round the most beautiful gardens full of amazing flowers and of course the pond and also stuffed full of tourists like ourselves. We even saw a few chickens hiding from the heat in the dust. Monets house was also amazing full of colour and interesting pictures and Japanese woodblocks but it was also even hotter. So we left for Versailles with all the air conditioning on full pelt. We found our campsite after an unexpected drive around Versailles, (the palace is unbelievably huge) then put up our tent etc again in the still boiling heat, however BBQ'd swordfish (I'm sure I asked for thun) later we all felt better....
