Today was our penultimate travel day of the holiday. We had pain au raisins to get us going and then swiftly got packed ready to leave. Our destination was Caen so the next morning we can catch the morning ferry. On the way we reached a stretch of road we which quickly realised was, in fact, a race track! We zoomed round the banked turns and over the chicane and then back on to normal roads. Just after this we noticed the museum for the track. We had a picnic here and found out that we had just driven along part the track in the Le Mans! Anyway, we arrived at the hotel and went into town to look at Pegasus bridge, which was where one of the battles for D-day was held. In the evening we went to the posh restaurant in the hotel. Dad tried Oysters, which he soon regretted! We are now preparing ourselves for the long ferry crossing ahead.
