Today was the hottest day by far. We decided that the last two days we hadn't done anything that strenuous so we went on a large cycle ride around the area. At the beginning there was a steep hill. Then, a bit further along Dads inner tube blew up and we spent 20 minutes trying to fix it, with no success. Because if this, dad went off on a shorter route while the rest of us finished the full circuit (a gruelling experience!!). Afterwards we cooled off in the pool...

After getting checked for contraband at Portsmouth (behind 2 patients of mine form Droitwich!!) the crossing was great. The pub meal in The Ship and Castle stayed down. Spent the morning being tourists in Hotnfleur. Lovely old port with lots of oldie worldly streets. More restaurants per square metre than anywhere else we've been. Got to lovely camp site after getting provisions. Lake side pitch with chateaux owning proprietor who speaks perfect English. Windin...
