Said our farewells to Pyrenees Emotions and the other English families who'd been there. This must be a Cool Camping effect. A busy getting up as the boys were booked to go climbing and abseiling with Daniel, they set off promptly at 9.00 so R and I could tidy and do little jobs in a relaxed way and make coffee... Still very expresso. It was lovely and sunny and we then sat outside the chalet with more coffee and caught up on all our work emails. Today, we got up at about 9:00 and had a very leisurely breakfast, thus which consisted of cereal, hot cocoa and a very good croissant. After this, we got dressed and went to a French market in Aspet, a nearby French town. The market was very good and sold a lot of things, such as chickens, meat, vegetables and lots of cheese. Today was another travelling day. We got up relatively early to get a head start on packing. It was already quite hot at nine o clock but we managed to break our packing - up record at one hour five minutes!! The drive was about four hours long up the coast then over the Pyrenees then finally dropping down into the low hills in the Pyrenees where our campsite is. We set up swiftly and had risotto for tea.

Today was spent at the lake in Haut Languedoc. We found a sloping rock into the water to set up camp amongst the orange arid rocks. I went windsurfing (a very enjoyable experience but tricky to get back to camp!!) and Rory, Mum and Dad went swimming. The water was warm and whilst Rory was swimming he saw an eel!
