Another packing up of the tent, and goodbye to our very friendly German neighbours we set off North through Soulac sur mer, gathering a few provisions en route in the most crowded supermarchet I think I have ever been in with thousands of holidaying mums, dads children etc trying to find nappies, chocolate etc when they don't know the isle plan!!
We arrived at the ferry port w/o hitch to cross the Gironde. I felt a very experienced campervaner being able to russell up more baguettes whilst we were in the queue which we then ate on deck. It was a bit grey I think cold for this bit of France but ok for us.
We motored up the motorways with Oasis on full blast Will watched ABridge To Far in the back.
We arrived at our last site quite early (4ish) it was green, spacious and sunny we had an amazingly large river front pitch on the Cher and because the owner is English I could follow the washing machine instructions with ease (presumably the French are on the translation so ?!?!?!).
We had a drink at the main building, see picky and planned our visit to Chenonceau and kayaking on the river the next day.
We cooked our last meal on the Cobb on the riverbank... Will asked us loads of quiz questions ... Then bed.
Ps it's quite cold at night and there's a significant dew.
