Hay Ya'll How are you all.... Well I've finally made it to the sunny state of California...and it really is sunny!!!! am frying out here :-) and its great...... First let me say I was totally going to bypass San Diego and it was only Sarah who changed my mind... So ThankYou ThankYou ThankYou. If I didnt take your advice I would of never had the best two days of my whole trip!!!! Maybe am being slightly over the top...but am sure you get the picture. Honestly its been GREAT!!!! In the whole 2 days I was there I had a total of 6 hours sleep and its been wicked from the minute I got there till the second I left.... I arrived at the hostel about 8am Tuesday morning and the ride from Vegas was ok actually, I must be getting used to them because the guy next to me said i K'Oed out. hehehe. The hostel was a pleseant supprise, just down the road from the bus station and it was lovely, defo one of the best i've stayed in (USASanDiego)... really spacious and clean. So I settled in, grabbed a shower, toddle back to my room n there's a guy in there!!!!!! I'd booked into a mixed dorm!!!!! that was SOOOOO weird....I had to slowly creep back out again it was so funny!!!! I'd never imagined they'd mix us up, anyway turns out the guys in the room turned out to be so sound and I ended up spending the whole two days with them. Backtracking... I went for a little walk to explore the place. San Diego is such a cute little town, so many little individual shops with their own style, loads of resturants, the shops were good as well. I went to this little coffee shop which was ran by this lady from Newcastle :-) I had a white chocolate hot chocolate...LUSH should explain it nicely Then I went to a place called Balboa Park, that was a really nice park surrounded by museums. Luckily for me the museums were free on Tuesdays so I had a stroll around some of them that was nice, even nicer to get out of the baking sun actually..... but pretending I was brainy and enjoying it was fun!!!! After that, it was so weird because I was just randomly walking around, not knowing where I was and this girl (Kira) comes and asks me where a hostel is...turns out its my hostel, we both go in search of the hostel and end up spending the rest of the evening chatting away. It was her 23rd birthday and she was staying in!!!!! ERM NO!!!! So i dragged her out with my new roomies and we all went off out into PB (A lively part of town) That was a really good night out, unfortunatly I couldn't get into alot of the places because you need to show passport ID, but we found a few random places that needed the business :-) We ended up in this empty Irish bar, just us 4 were in there, but we had a crack. The bar attender was so funny and kept making us all these random cocktails. It was brill. Another bad thing was everywhere stops searving alcohol bang on 2, but the party didnt stop there... everyone.... and it really did seem like EVERYONE headed to the beach with alcohol from the offlicence for the after party :-) that was brillaint. Just a week before I'd been in Miami looking out to the ocean now I was on the other side of the country doing the same...it was great :-) The hostel was really kewl because alot of people were still up chatting and drinking so we just kept going, it was by far the best night of the holiday!!!! We didnt get into bed till gone 5!!! it was great!!!! And I stand by my theory of the people you meet make your experience what it is. so thank you Chris, Kira and Corey for making that night the best. Mwah Speak Soon xxxxxxxxxxxxx
