On the way to tomorrow's destination we spotted whales 'off the starboard bow' followed by a blue footed boobie diving feeding frenzie. Quite a sight to see! A challenge for those if us taking photos as he light faded fast

The 'youngest Island' we went for a coastal walk. Huge numbers of marine iguanas- haphazardly lying over each other. SLF crabs wandering over them lazily. Occasionally spiriting an elusive turtle shape in the water. Superb lunch again, off to Isabella Island this afternoon

Rough overnight journey. But beautiful white sand beach with solitary flamingo asleep in the lagoon, half convinced it was a plant. More snorkelling- lots of fish, a huge lobster. A swarm of SLF crabs, but no turtles. The captain 'whose English is minimal' convinces me we will see some tomorrow.

We met the solitary flamingo again, this time it was feeding - so definitely NOT plastic. Afternoon in search of land Iguanas. Initially elusive. Then to the point where we were having to avoid them in our path, also saw a cricket. Other than the carpenter bee,and a yellow butterfly, this is the only native insect we have seen.
