Waiting for our plane home. Over a dozen previous flights on the departure board to the UK have been canceled because of poor weather. Having been on the go since 7:30 yesterday morning it'll be a relief to get home. Amsterdam seemed so organised from the air. The roads weren't clogged with crazy drivers and tuck tucks!

Making use if airport lounge. Sun streaming through the window. So Farsi good- we made the first flight-only 13 left to go!

Our last entry before the 'journey' incredibly I think we are organised - which must be a first! We did a final 'pick' in the garden last night - strawberries and courgettes, followed by a semi- disastrous Strawberry jam volcano. Took longer to clear up than to make the mess if course. Less than 4 weeks to go- the British Weather giving us a taste of the Amazon. Warm and wet. Not too sticky. Like good Brits we are braving it anyway.

InCumbria for training long weekend. Cycling, climbing, walking and chilling. It feels like a holiday in itself. The weather is just perfect- though very British (cool but bright). I seem to be feeling more excited with each passing day. We really need to write a packing list as the looming sense of forgetting a vital piece of kit is slightly unsettling.
