GCGills In South America
Busy day yesterday, after meeting our fellow travellers and settling in our cabins we went for a walk along a beach on San Cristobal (Island). Lots of feeding sea lion calves (sea wolf in Spanish) suckling, locals swimming in the sea with them- looked pretty precarious. A great briefing, tea and fell asleep very early.
Trouble is we didn't precisely stay asleep- the sea was choppy overnight on the journey to Genovese
This morning we've already had a bird exploration. NASCAR and red footed boobies, frigate birds, mocking birds and diurnal small eared owls. Dive bombed by a pelican, and saw a heron narrowly miss catching a S.L.F. Crab for lunch. Wow that crab was fast.
