I wanted a good start this morning because we had to drive to the hire car drop off which l thought was gonna be a drama then l thought it would take ages to sign the car back in, then we had to catch the shuttle to the airport which l thought would take a while as well. Our flight leaves at 1.10pm and we have to be there 2 1/2 hours beforehand so l said to Mum last night we'll set the alarm for around 7ish so we can leave by 9. Well, l was awake and up at 7.15 (l thought Mum must've set the alarm for 7.30 so didn't bother waking her) and on the net 'cause l wanted to add extra on my blog but when l got to it apparently l hadn't saved it from last night....arrrgh!!! And it was a really good blog too! So then l had to re-enter everything from the night before and l had to do it in a hurry so l'm sure l've left out heaps and it's not nearly as good a blog as the first one. Ah well, lesson learned...don't do s*** when you're tired...haha and you thought l was gonna say drunk! I woke Mum at about 7.30 and she's trying to tell me it was only 6.30 so she's taking her time doing stuff and l'm thinking oh, l must've looked at my watch wrong so continued on with my blog. At 8.10 l looked at my watch again and realised the time so l started panicking. I hurried Mum along and after having a super fast breaky we headed back up to the room to grab our bags and check out. We asked directions to the rental depot and yep, we took a wrong turn....again! I noticed some landmarks from yesterday so was able to get us to the rental place in no time flat and was pretty pleased with myself. Hand over was breezy and we only had to wait a few minutes for a shuttle so all the panic earlier was for nothing. That's about the most exciting thing that happened today oh, except for arriving in Spain. The flight only took 2 hours. So far we've only seen the back of the taxi drivers head, the inside of the hotel room, a few shops and the hotel restaurant but from the plane the country looks beautiful. Mum decided to have a haircut while we were walking along the street. It looks pretty good and only cost 11 euro...bargain. We had to wait till 8pm before the restautant opened so we ordered drinks at the bar. Mum had a sangria which consisted of red wine, cointreau, 2 other spirits, sugar and orange juice. Nothing was measured, just poured in quite healthily and l said to Mum she was gonna be pissed tonight and she was....hehehe. The meal was crap and it cost 33 euro, drinks included, so we won't eat there again! It's after 11 so l'm off to bed.
