Another great day. We started today by going to the grand bazaar. The turks now how to put on a bazaar. It was huge and so confusing we were lost most of the time. Unfortunately it is mostly retail at yhis point and not handmade nor cheap prices. Alex did pretty well... it is really an issue of finding the right seller with the right prices. I got a few things but mostly just trinketds but we browsed for a long time like 3-4 hours. Then we dropped our loot at the hotel and went to the topkapi oalace.
This palace was built in the 1500s and thevsultans lived there into the 1800s . We eent through it all. It was great. It was whay I ec0xpected of an ottoman palace. I had not relized though that despite thier geometric panting ability they did not master depth or simulating lighting. Anyway it was amaxing but took anothern4-5 hours. Then a btief stop at the hotel and off to see the whirling detvishes. I dont know how they did it but they whirled likr fools for 40 minutes.
Anyway, when I got back to the hotel I got an email informing me I can be the editor of elearning for criminal defense for ukraine, hati or angola... my choice. All in all a good day.
I should just say that despite the news of rioting and teargas and the like life is carrying on here and I do not feel like we areat a heighten risk.
