Well the last day was still full but was at a moderate pace. Todau we went even further out of town to rumeli castle. It was again a semi crumbling castle but this time larger and the parts that were open were better kept, though no safety devices were in use. We climb around the walls and enjoyed the views before walking along the bosphorus until we reached ortakoy town a hour or two walk. We saw lots of fishers of what seemed to be anchovies amd people setting...

Well today we positively pampered ourselves... in away. We started the day by stopping in at our local barber and getting a shave with a straight razor. I think it was a very worthwhile experience and I have been amazed all day at the closness of the shave and the softness of my skin. A little m8re relaxed day today. We hit the road around 930am and headed for the ferry terminal. There ee avoided the touts and found the public ferry that does the bosphorous tour. So w3 hoped on the ferry and road it the hour and a half. Another great day. We started today by going to the grand bazaar. The turks now how to put on a bazaar. It was huge and so confusing we were lost most of the time. Unfortunately it is mostly retail at yhis point and not handmade nor cheap prices. Alex did pretty well... it is really an issue of finding the right seller with the right prices. What busy day in Turkey today. We started at the blue mosque. It was a 2 minute walk from our guest house. I thought it was amazing it was such a huge building and so old. It was amazingly well decrotated with geometric patterns, and caligraphy. Additionally, the fact that it is currently in use 5 times a day adds to it. I dont know how neither of us thought of it but we bothbwore shorts and were passed full length skirts to put on.., which was fine... im not sur...
