So the last post was making fun of the temperature. I’m not any more. Both of us only slept fairly and I was frozen most of the night. But we were up in plenty of time for our camel ride that we are now waiting for.

We are on the new road. There is now a bus stuck across the roadway. Let’s hope it doesn’t take too long to get moving again.

So now we know why the other group couldn’t get through the mountains. It is snowy and icy. The sanding crews are two guys in the back of a large truck of sand. They then use a spade to pick up a shovel full and throw it out the back of the truck every few feet as the truck slowly moves down the road. We just arrived at a place where the road is closed. Yesterday we spent the day touring around fez. It was quite interesting and a bit smelly here and there. We went up to a fort on a hill overlooking the city. We then walked into the Medina or the oldest parts of town. There was definitely no car access. There was just hand carts and mules to move goods around the Medina.
