So for the rest of the day we drove to a town that is still inhabited but consists of multi story buildings made of mud bricks. I went to the museum which was a deal at 20 dirham. Trapper stayed in the warm restaurant while they made us supper for 45 minutes. We had camel tangine which was good like beef but a little richer. Unfortunately we both are not feeling great and we both ate off the same dish so I’m blaming the camel tangine.
We then drove to a town in a valley. We went into the valley where there were hundreds of small plots of land(farmed by different people) that were irrigated by a system of artificial streams made of dirt. Most of the plots of land were the size of our backyard. We saw lots of different plants including date trees. We also walked into their old Berber town which is no longer inhabited. Well some people keep a few animals in the old structures but not much was there. It was very cool.
We then went to the toudra gorge. It is a very high and very steep cliff sided with a river at the bottom it was truly amazing. We are now at the hotel,
Spending the night in a slightly wider section of the gorge.
