The Awesome Foursome
James Bond Island Tour-
We got up early this morning to go to the beach before our day trip to James Bond Island (the island where 'The man with the golden gun' was filmed!) - the tide was high however, so after a quick dip in the rough sea we headed to breakfast.
Our coach picked us up at 12 and we headed North to our first stop; Wat Suwannakua or Monkey Cave Temple. This part of the tour we didn't enjoy much - because the monkeys were very vicious and scary and we had certainly seen enough temples!!
Next up was the boat trip to James Bond Island through the stunning scenery of Phang-Nga national park, where there were lots of beautiful islands and rock formations, including a tunnel eroded through the rock which we sailed through!
James Bond Island was great we had a lovely walk around and it was very pituresque. The funny thing was we got to see the film 'man with the golden gun' on the bus so we recognised parts of the island! Cheesy but good!
On our way back we stopped at Koh Pahnyi - a sea gypsy fishing village located entirely on stilts over the water - amazing walking around there and seeing how they live!
This evening whilst Barry went to watch some Thai boxing in Patong (which he says was great!), we went to Kampong kata hill restaurant, which is a gorgeous restaurant located on top of a hill loooking over Kata town - the food was great too!
