Started off the sightseeing with a trip to the Menara Tower. Great views of Kuala Lumpur and the nearby Petronas Towers. Shopping! - Today we got the monorail to Bangsar and walked miles to a small shopping centre (not quite what we expected). We ahd lunch there at DeliFrance - yum! and then got a taxi to a different shopping centre: Megamall. This centre was fantastic; it has a topshop, dorothy perkins and miss selfridge!! Went for a lovely breakfast down the road and then went to get the bus to Kuala Lumpur. The rainey journey took 6 hours but at least we were on a coach and not a sweaty mini-bus! Went to Fort Cornwallis and Penang Museum. The boys then went to the second world war museum futher up the island and the girls went shopping in the huge Georgetown centre! Evening went to 'a typical english pub' only prob being they were 'typical english prices'!! Headed back to hostel and sat playing cards with a tiger! The day at the Port: - We left for Penang today, getting a taxi to the port on Langkawi. Our ferry was at 2.30pm and so we went to KFC for lunch whilst we waited and took pictures of the huge eagle which is the main feature of the port! At 1.45 we headed to our gate, but were told we'd have to wait for our ferry...so we sat down.
