Hey everyone Today was Surfers Paradise day! We woke up at the crack of dawn (6am!) to get to the coach stop for our journey to Surfers Paradise. It was a long journey, seven hours on the coach made even longer by the hour gained as we crossed the border into Queensland. Hey everyone Today was the Pet Porpoise Pool day! This was a little wildlife park next to our hostel which promised kisses from dolphins. We weren't expecting much (the place was quite small) but we arrived, paid and went straight to the dolphin pools, where we were greeted by two dolphins swimming around and playing ball. We woke up nice and early as check out was at 9am (it's getting earlier and earlier) but our bus wasn't to 1pm so we decided to take a walk down to the beach. Hey everyone Today was Koala Hospital day! We were up early and out of the Newcastle YHA, ready to catch the Greyhound north up the coast to Port Macquarie. We'd enjoyed our stay in Newcastle, it had been a welcomed change from Sydney, but we also thought we had seen all it had to offer and it was time to move on.
