Hey everyone

Today we explored Wanaka!

The rain finally stopped today, for a short while anyway, so we went out and walked to the lakefront. The views were stunning, as the lake is surrounded by a snow topped mountain range, which we hadn't seen before through all the rainclouds. We walked around the lakeshore down to the jetty and took pictures of the lake with the amazing backdrop.

We then headed up for a walk around the town and looked in some shops. We followed a little path next to a stream into a park. Christina saw a fish jump of of the water so we waited a little for Alex to spot one but had no luck.

We heard about a cinema that had sofas and bean bags for seats and served cookies in the intermission, so we went to explore it. However, we had missed the last showing of Angels and Demons, so we decided that we would just have to go to a normal cinema in Queenstown instead if wanted to see it.

We headed back to the hostel, stopping at the supermarket for dinner. Now the cloud had completely cleared the view from our window was just as stunning as from the lake. We braced the cold and stood on the balcony next to the kitchen and watch the sun set over the mountain range, wondering what Sky movies had in store for us tonight. Xxx
