After a few busy days in Bangkok, we decided to take a trip over to Kanchanaburi. We found a perfect looking tour that ticked many of the boxes of things we were keen to experience in Thailand. Today we decided to take in some culture by heading to the famous Thai temples. We took a short tuk tuk trip to the Chaophraya River to catch the taxi boat up to the Wat Phra Kaeo district where the Grand Palace and Emerald Buddha stands.
