Sunday we had another big drive. Stopping at Omeo for lunch and then at a look- out to see Mt Kosiosko (2228 m highest mountain in Australia) in the distance, continuing up over Mt Hotham, the road going straight through the ski fields. Interesting to see the terrain and infrastructure without any snow. Amazingly enough we then met Steve Agnew at Bright after he road 200km through Mt Field NP in a race of 4000 people. We happened to arrive 15 mins before he finished perfect timing to see him come over the finishing line. A couple of beers to celebrate with him before heading to the Howard's farm where Philip and Baigal were also visiting.
Happy Australia Day (26.1.15- Monday) what a great day we had skiing, biscuit and surfing at Lake Buffalo again. Lotte and Archie both having a go at skiing and getting up for a short time, Fidge nearly doing a lap of the lake (no style just doing the splits) and Tim very stylish and looking hot. Philip, Henners and Fidge had fun on the biscuit and Baigal with the kids. Tim choosing to opt out of the biscuit instead cutting it up surfing behind the wake of the Malabu.
The next week we had a lot of fun at the Howard's, fishing, motorbike riding, playing and watching tennis, bike riding, milking cows, playing with the dogs, horse riding and generally having a fun time. We discovered the Milawa Bakery where we all became hooked on the corn bread.
Wednesday we headed to Melbourne for the day where Lotte and Archie went to The Melbourne Zoo with Ec and Lesleigh- thank you they had a a fantastic time and love their Koala bag and Penguine teddy an added bonus to meet at Pip (ne Agnew ) and Lucinda. Tim and Fidge went to the Australian Open and watched Venus Williams v Madison Keys (w), Serena Williams (w) v Dominica Cibulkova and Stan Wawrinka (w) v Keith Nishikori. Amazingly we sat only one row away from Jo.
Friday we went for a family drive to Beechworth where we went to both the Honey Experience and the Bee Garden and learnt all about the importance of bees and honey to our world.
Sunday Lotte and all the children were treated to horse ride. We packed the up ready to head off the following day.
