Today we went on a 26km canoe trip down "New River", the only river in the US to flow north. It was SUCH a beautiful trip - huge rockfaces surrounding us on all sides. The weather wasn't great, but all that meant was that there was really atmospheric clouds framing the mountains. Poor Stace and Lisa got stuck about a million times! We randomly decided to take a side river, (thanks to Alex and Sam), and for a while we thought it wouldn't join up and we'd have to try and get back up the way we'd come. Stacey found a hand grenade shell in the water - random. We are staying at such a cool campsite, it is RIGHT by the river, a beautiful view to wake up to!
