106 kms
We did lots of washing (very handy that mum and dad have a washing machine in their caravan!) and then Rog, Dad & I drove to Katherine (Nitmiluk) Gorge. We did the 1st walk to the lookout and looked out over the 1st gorge. Katherine Gorge is made up of 13 gorges so best to see via a boat cruise or helicopter flight.
Rog had a swim once we had finished walking. We had a quick look at the visitor centre display and then we went back to town. Rog & Dad had a look at repco and then we did a very quick shop in Woolworths (and this time there were about 10 staff on registers so Dad & Rog can't understand what took mum and I so long. It looks like mornings are the best time to shop in Katherine).
We went back to the caravan and had lunch and then went back to the Hot Springs for a few hours. It seemed colder today but I think that was just because we had a bit of cloud covering so not as hot. We spoke to some more tourists in the water, which is great getting ideas about where to (or not to) go.
We went back to the caravan then Rog and I headed back into town to get fuel, gas bottle refill and buy alcohol. Its nice to have someone looking after the kids for us and being able to quickly run errands which would normally take ages.
Rog was just about to go and cook dinner but the kids were running around and wouldn't come back to the caravan so Rog put Bronte in her car seat so he could get Josh and when we came back to the car poor Bronte had vomited all through the car. So I got the easy job of taking her for a shower while Rog cleaned up the car. I then took Josh for a shower and then as we were getting dinner ready Bronte vomited again but this time she walked over and did it in a bucket. She is so cute as instead of saying that she vomited she says that she is spitting. (so she spit in grandma & papa's car and then in the bucket). The poor thing vomited again whilst we were eating dinner but luckily in the bucket again. I think she was probably a bit dehydrated and had eaten too many chips and biscuits.
Had lamb steaks for dinner and then enjoyed a farewell champagne with mum and a chat with mum and dad before going to bed.
There has been lots of birds in the caravan park including 3 blue winged kookaburra's and a frogmouth owl which have all been so tame.
