Today was a nice relaxing day. We drove from Phoenix to Camp Verde. It was amazing to see the colors of the rocks as they started to change from grey and beiges to bright rusty red and burgundy. The landscape and vegetation was changing quickly as well. We were seeing less and less of the typical Arizona style cactus which is sad because we were so excited to see them. We only managed to get one photo of this type of cactus. I guess there is really no need for anymore than that. The landscape was definitely starting to look more "canyonee" whatever that means. We checked into a very nice RV Park with very friendly people. The view was outstanding and the park was clean and well equipped. We did some laundry and lounged around. We watched a little TV and a movie with Mira and recuperated a little. It was warm in the sun but once it started to go down it got cold fast. We are very excited about seeing the Grand Canyon but not excited about having to leave the warmth we have experienced over the past few days in order to do it. Oh well, we will be in San Diego soon enough and the weather is looking really nice down there. That was it for today…not too much to report other than beautiful scenery.
