Tasha's Travels
I wasn't sure how excited i would be about Machu Picchu after the trek, i know its meant to be the goal, but i had such an amazing time on the trek and the camping and we had seen Pisac and Ollantaytambo ruins so i wasn't sure how blown away i would be.
But i needn't have worried because you can't compare it to anything else, it really is unbelievable. It is a lot bigger than i had thought, and amazingly still very much in tact, it was so much easier to picture what it was like as it was a proper city, with the houses and the gardens and the quarry and the temples. Freddy gave us lots of info, which i won't bore you with ( until im home ha ha) its really fascinating. The Andes are so densly covered with trees etc that they're still finding ruins, Ramero said that as recent as 10years ago more were found.
You just have to see i yourself, its worth all the hard work of the trek!!
