Another long journey to San Cristobal. Visited two waterfalls not far from Palenque on the way, Misol-Ha and Agua Azul. Didn't get to swim in the waterfalls unfortunately :( it was raining so the current was too strong so we weren't allowed to :( Went behind the waterfall at Misol-Ha. A good day in Palenque. Felt so much better after a good night's sleep, 7 hours, the longest since I've arrived in Mexico! It didn't rain, yay! Visited the Palenque ruins. Walked up so many steps which showed how unfit I am! Some people say it's better than Chichen Itza. We were able to walk up the steps of some of the ruins so had lovely views. In Palenque! Staying in a jungle lodge for the next two nights. It's so cool here, there's lots of different wildlife around including monkeys on trees right next to where we're sleeping.
