In Aguas Calientes. The hotel we're staying in is lovely! Getting very spoilt with hotels on this trip so far! I'd better not get used to it as I know the standards will drop as I'm staying in cheaper hotels in a couple of weeks! This morning we visited the Ollantaytambo ruins before getting the train up to Aguas Calientes. Again, it was beautiful. Lots of steps! My legs will definitely be toned at the end of this trip with all the steps I've been walking up lol...

Hi from Ollantaytambo! It's been a long day! Left at 7.30am and made our way to Ollantaytambo visiting a couple of places on the way. Drove through Sacsayhuaman and then visiting Ccaccaccollo where there is a Planterra-supported women's weaving co-operation. Fed some alpacas and they explained the process of weaving. In Cusco! What a lovely little place it is. It's much cooler here but lovely and warm with the sun. Reminds me of the UK in spring/early summer. Had the best sleep in ages last night! A shame it wasn't long enough. Left for the airport at 7am. So I was back at the airport less than 12 hours later lol! Met and spoke to some of the group. There are a mixture of nationalities. In Lima, Peru! So now I'm in the Southern Hemisphere and will be for the next 2 months or so. It's been a very long day of travelling. Am absolutely shattered as didn't sleep very well last night and woke up at 5.30am! Lovely(!) FaceTimed my mum this morning which was lovely! Camilla, Pierre and Jacob were around too so it was nice to see all their faces and talk to them after a while. Nice to see familiar faces too and signing for a change - so much more relax...

Last day in Guatemala and Central America. Woke up early to pack and to say goodbye to the others as they had to leave early. Checked out and walked to the hotel I was staying in. It was further than I thought! It was too early to check in as it was only 8.30am so I left my bags in the luggage storage and went out to explore more of Antigua. Went to this chocolate museum where they explained about the source of chocolate and the Mayan tradition etc. Made my own...
