In Aguas Calientes. The hotel we're staying in is lovely! Getting very spoilt with hotels on this trip so far! I'd better not get used to it as I know the standards will drop as I'm staying in cheaper hotels in a couple of weeks!

This morning we visited the Ollantaytambo ruins before getting the train up to Aguas Calientes. Again, it was beautiful. Lots of steps! My legs will definitely be toned at the end of this trip with all the steps I've been walking up lol!

Managed to board the train to Aguas Calientes without my passport, used my driving licence. So glad I brought it with me somehow! So that's one barrier cleared, let's hope I can get into Machu Picchu tomorrow!
The train was really lovely. So comfortable and the scenery was just great the whole journey. Had a drink and cake provided too.

Our hotel was right at the top so had to walk all the way up. Then my room was right at the top of the hotel so more stairs!!
After checking in we went for a drink before looking around the shops. Didn't buy anything! Planning to buy an alpaca jumper when I'm back in Cusco if I can find a decent one.

My memory card reader for my iPad broke! :( :( teaches me for buying a cheap one! So can't upload any photos from today until I buy a new one, not sure when that will be, whenever I can find a shop that sells them. Hence me using a photo from yesterday. Luckily I have a wifi memory card so will use that for the time being.

Went out for dinner before having a very early night - 8.30pm! This trip is definitely very different from the last one lol! We have to get up at 4.30-5am tomorrow morning!!
