France, Paris 18th - 19th July 18th July Left London in the early hours of the day; Ferry across the English Channel from Dover to Calais; arrived in Paris at our hotel (not the Contiki village due to too many groups at the village); walked around the area with some new friends. 19th July A Day in Paris WOW this place is amazing Places visited: Eiffel Tower, Arc de Triomphe, Avenue du Champs Elysees, the Louvre, Notre Dame, Spanish Gates. In the evening we were picked up from the Spanish steps and went to the restaurant, Les Noces de Jeanette for a yummy dinner which included snails for entree!! Not bad at all :) The view from the Eiffel tower is spectacular (even if it was a little hazy). The Arc de Triomphe A spendid day, jam-packed with sightseeing, not nearly enough time to truly see anything. I'm getting the feeling this Contiki tour is mearly a taste of things to see and do in each place we stop.
