1) Surfer Chick!! Promised to boast if i got to stand up in my surf lesson - and so here i am boasting! Was a great day, went 4x4ing in sand dunes to a deserted beach about 4 miles long, with some serious surf waiting for us! We surfed/ learnt/ practiced the whole day, and it was EXHAUSTING - am definitely loosing my fitness peak!! Got a little sting by a bluebottle jellyfish (aka man of war!) but have clearly lived to tell the tale of how i can STAND UP and catch the waves! 2) Dodgy hostel So, upon my return to the hostel i had to walk 2 hours back to bondi cos got dropped at the hostel we had to check out of cos we had gross person in our dorm. So, back in trusty bondi now, much better! 3) Marooned in Manly Yesterday we got the ferry over to surf capital manly - it is the nicest beach community i have seen in sydney yet, really really like it there - good recommendation Sonia! Anyway, as soon as we got off the ferry the heavens opened and a huge thunder storm started! We took refuge in the fish and chip shop - where I ate salad! and then had THE best chocolate ice cream ever!! Was very funny, but we still love manly. Unfortunately when we got home we heard someone had been struck by lightening on Bondi, which is really sad. 4) Sydney Sights First sight of the opera house and harbour bridge - stunning! also went to Paddys market - kind of like an uncultured version of the Morrocan suks we wondered years ago, or a less twisted Patpong (as in just the stalls, and only a fraction of the size). 5) Rain, rain go away.... So, its still raining! Clearly, we are able to change weather patterns accross the other side of the world, only not for the better! Am happy every single day, just so content and chilled out. Its perfect! Obviously miss some special people though xx
