Tamara's Travels
The time came to move on from Sydney (unfortunately!) I loved it there heaps and think its such a great city with the combination of beach/ city and harbour. Spent my final days really taking in the sights and was not at all disappointed by any of it - opera house, harbour bridge, the rocks, hyde park, botanical gardens... etc... all great! Cant remember if i mentioned before we called in to the Mardis Gras Fair Day too - very amusing!
Today was started in a great way - watching the sunrise from the cliffs by Byron lighthouse. This is the most easterly point of the whole of Australia and so we really did see the amazing ball before all others this morning! 5:00am rise was worth it!
So Byron Bay! Slightly hippie, which of course I like! I was lying in a hammock at the hostel yesterday writing some profound thoughts in my journal and underneath me was a lizard the length of my arm, above me a python and that was after running from a rat in the morning and sharing my dorm with a redback spider!!
The sun may be shining for me - finally... but unfortunately my body is in a slightly cloudier state at the moment. Am just on my way to the doctor again now. Dont panic (mum!) its nothing serious, just something related to my tooth (perhaps!), sure it will be all normal in a few days. Meanwhile Fleur is keeping me out of mischief, and I am lying in the hammock in the shade or in bed (near the spiders!)
Hope everyone is well xxx
