We had an early start, getting everything packed and ready for us to get our bus to the airport at 9am. We changed in town only for the bus driver to tell us he couldn't actually take us into the airport but found drop us a 5 min walk away?! Garth jumped out a few stops before to return the map back to the car hire company (he forgot it yesterday) while I carried on to the airport. The walk wasn't too bad and I waited 20mins for Garth to catch up.

We had a quick easy flight to Auckland. We couldn't believe we covered 4 weeks of mileage in 1 hour!!

We arrived at the domestic terminal and had a 10 min walk to Tge international terminal to meet mum and dad! They had only been waiting 5 mins. It was great to see them and they looked pretty tired from their 36 hours of travelling! We grabbed a quick McDs and a cab into town.

The rents checked into their post hotel at the foot of the Sky Tower and we wondered the few blocks and checked into our 14 bed dorm room hostal. I took the top bunk :)

A quick change of clothes and we walked back to mum and dad to see their hotel room which was very nice indeed! We took them on a walk down the port (where we went before) so dad could see the boats and enjoyed a lovely salad in a restaurant by the boats!

It was great to hear how granny, G, Harriet and Leo were and hear about the crazy snow back in the UK.

We stopped for a quick McDs ice cream (they are getting way too much custom from us this holiday!) before mum and dad heading off to bed.

Garth and I watched Snatch in the hostal social area and I slept surprisingly well!!
