Now my flu symptoms seem to be behind - at least so far. Yesterday and today I have done some heavy tourism here and tomorrow morning I will take a bus to Bengaluru (The official name of Bangalore I guess.)
Yesterday I took a walk in George town, visited a couple of Hindu Temples and the Cathedral of St Thomas. I learnt there that it is one of the three churches in the world that has been built on top of graves of original apostles. The second oe is in Santiago de Compostela and the third in Rome.
I also visited the Vivekananda house, formerlly Ice House, which had interesting history, originally as a storage room for ice imported from USA. Now it housed an interesting exposition about Swami Vivekananda's life and teachings. Based on that information I could pick Swami Vivekananda as my guru if I needed to pick one.
I also did shopping (a bit more than planned) so now I have something to send back to Finlad.
Today my main targe was Government Museum. It had several interesting exhibitions, and I actually learned several interesting things there. On the way back towards hotel (I am still on the way) I walked past Egmore railway station, which really is worth seeing. I also visited St. Andrew's Church which has nice stained-glass windows in addition to beautiful general architecture.
