So this morning I had my last French breakfast so far in Pondycherry. After breakfast I went back to L'Ocean Hotel and checked out. Then I took auto-rickshaw to the bus station (50 INR) and took the first bus leaving for Chennai. The bus trip took, as expected, about 4 hours, costed 95 INR and ended at a bus station far from George town where I was aiming at. So auto-riskshaw again - this time cost was ultimately 300 INR although we had agreed on 250 as the driver did not have change. He took me to a guesthouse which had specified cost and location (near central railway station). The room has exceptionally clean walls (recently painted) but no water from the shower. I guess I can manage there at least a couple of nights as there is a TV with cable channels. (When there is electricity in whole delivery chain.

Update to the enrty Feb 22nd 2010:

While I was writing the original entry the water had started to flow from the shower so I have been resonably happy with my room. As I have been suffering from various flu symptoms, mostly from sore throat, I have stayed in my hotel room watching TV and hanging in the Mobile Internet following the bad results of Finns in Winter Olympics. Today I feel much better and I am planning for a walk in Marina for the evening. Tomorrow I plan to visit some museums here.
