We spent hours this morning poking around the massive semi circular Plaza de Espana. It was tile city. Even the lamp post and balcony balustrades were covered in ceramic tiles. Just magnificent. We visited an old, very comprehensive military museum inside the building. So much to see.
The green hop on hop off bus took us on a tour of the different parts of the city. The world trade exhibition was held here in 1992 and its obvious that Seville received a substantial facelift at that time.
At Plaza Del Toros (the Seville bull ring) we took a guided tour of the museum and heard how bull fighting continues in that arena today. There are 35 fights between April and October each year. What a gruesome sport?!!!!
We meandered along the narrow streets back to our hotel. We've had a good taste of Seville.
