The view of the city from the Funicular was gorgeous. The predicted (70% chance) rain didn't appear all day. Phew!!! We walked and walked. First toward Monte Igeldo where we caught the Funicular to the top and back. The view from the top showed distant mountains topped with snow and they seemed to be watching over the city down on the coast. The rotunda in a San Sebastián park. Today we walked and walked and walked to explore San Sebastián. There is a distinct new and old section of the city and we loved it all. There are a number of old churches - they were all closed so we couldn't explore. We climbed up to the top of Monte Urgull which overlooks the whole of the city.
