'Why a pic of an escalator?' I hear you ask!!! Well, when we arrived in Siena we walked up a very steep, zig zag, roadway to reach the entrance gates to the city. This is what we found when we arrived at the top!!! (Yes, we could have saved the climb by taking the escalator directly from the station up to the city!!!)
