The inside of the concert hall (Teatro Bellini). We calculated it would hold about 600. There were four tiers of the boxes. The ceiling fresco decorations were stunning and there were beautiful chandeliers everywhere. We were so lucky to experience such a special place.

CATANIA Saturday 8 April We think we know why we were met at the station last night now!! Hi from sunny Sicily!!! Arrived here last night after an epic 13 hours train journey (our longest) through much of the south of Italy. Though tiring, it was gorgeous. When we got to the 'toe' of Italy they broke the train in two and put us on a ferry for the 40 minute ride to Messina. The sun was just setting over Sicily at the time and it was so beautiful!!!
