CATANIA Saturday 8 April

We think we know why we were met at the station last night now!! We stayed in our room till after 3pm to catch up on washing, blog etc then headed back to the station to check on trains elsewhere on the island. Weellll ..... we had to literally step over bodies of itinerant folk as we went. (Our boy host from last night walked us around them in the dark we reckon!!)
After the station we went, map in hand, to find the old town and it's supposed amazing buildings but must have taken a wrong turn and ended up in grottoville - yuk.
Anyway we eventually found some old buildings and a place to eat. It was dark when we finished and on our way back 'home' we stumbled across the 'amazing old buildings' we'd been looking for!! Have to go back now to check them out.
