11.35am stop for lunch, mossie heaven here!! We are all getting bitten alive!! Had a good ride today, only 50km. Rain stopped as we left hotel, and had a dry ride, last 3km it started spitting, but thankfully not pouring. Lunch then that's it for today, the remainder of the road is too dangerous to go along so another early finish :o( This place is amazing!!! Lunch was good, back on bus again. There was a shop at lunch stop, so we all bought a packet of crisp...

Just arrived in Ma Lu thang, the border of Vietnam with china!! Very cool! Not many guards going about but would be interesting to see how far we could get across!!

Got a long lie this morning, it's 6.30am and just up, it sounds like it's pouring rain!!! First rain of the trip if it is! Slept really well, freezing at start of night and roasting this morning. Woken up with a dodgy stomach again!!! I think it's cause I've been taking my Malarone on an empty stomach, anyway I'll live!! Really looking forward to some proper scottish grub when I get home! Had eggs and baguettes and bananas to last me a life time!!!

Left the nice hotel this morning and cycled 54km to moung Cha at 12 for lunch. Road to next destination is closed so we have to go on the bus for approx 4 hours to get to hotel! Roads are all disrupted due a dam being built!!! This will be fun!!

The trip so far has been amazing, will be sad to go home....it's going to be really difficult to explain to everyone back home what we have been through. So many emotions involved and hard to put into words. I have met some really fantastic people all with a different story as to why they are here but all very worthwhile causes. I have had ups and downs on the trip with the best yet to come. So far I have been chased by a dog, challenged on the road by a karat...
