We slept in a bit but Lydia came to clean up the party leavings from last evening. We dressed and drove to La Dolce Vita where Marite was serving breakfast of champagne and rolls with cheese and cold cuts.
We then were off for home where we had some leftover pâté, cheese and ham before dressing and readying for a large gathering at the T Clubbe. This was organized no host by Merite where she had rented the facility and had her brother, owner of Aquarelle, cater a five-course fabulous dinner. This was followed by dancing. All invited were customers of her shop and the women's styles were over the top.
The lady next to me at dinner was from Washington, D.C. and when I mentioned I had lived in Kirkland, WA, she remarked that mother had married a neurosurgeon from near the named John Nylan. What a coincidence. I knew him from my time at Overlake Hospital and he also came weekly to Lakshore Clinic for neck disk surgery consultations.
