First day of visit to Marie Dejean in Vale do Lobo. Awoke to cool bright sunny morning with cloudless blue sky. Did sleep in after 22 hour trip from Seattle, flying British Airline First Class overnight to Heathrow, then on to Lisbon in Business Class. Flight to Faro was Economy (25 minutes).
After breakfast we drove in Marie's new Nisson Juke to Apolonia supermarket for a few things and then intended to have lunch with some of her friends at Peixa restaurant but found that the date of meeting changed for one week hence. So we had a very nice lunch at Menta Pimenta nearby. This was a very nice place serving prix fixe meals of high quality. I had Wienersnitzle and a Caesar Salad. On the way out one of the staff recognized my Seabourn jacket and indicated he had worked on the Pride, Sojourn and the Quest advancing from beginnings as a waiter.
The rest of the day was spent napping, eating a nice dinner of cold cuts and cheese including a nap and a catchup on world news.
