We picked up the new Mazda BT50 on the Tuesday - it was rush job - so we just took the standard tray. We realise that in due course we will probably replace this tray with a more robust offering.
Wednesday we packed for departure on the Thursday. We had a good run down to Woolgoolga and stopped in a cabin on Thurdsday night - we had pizza for tea overlooking a cool blue pool with underwater lighting - it was very idylic.
We dropped Nosey down to Lars at 8am on Friday morning and we wandered around Woolgoolga till lunchtime. It is probably like Byron Bay way 30 to 40 years ago - delightful - really I find Byron intense and it has lost it's charm in my opinion.
Lars gave us a run through the new camper - Vicki - which he did not rush - it is a great commendation to Active Campers - their after sales service is just fantastic - and yes so are their campers.
We got away about 2.30 and headed for Dorrigo via some back roads - Noesey and Vicki hit it off straight away - they chatted as we wandered up through the hills and valleys, along some dirt roads and looked down over some picturesque views.
We refueled in Dorrigo and headed for Cathederal Rock near Ebor. The sun was very low as we did the last few km's into the National Park. See the photo above.
We camped here two nights, tested the shower and other conveniences - the camper is just perfect - a few minor changes to Noesy's suspension will be required and some wide mirrors.
We ran home on Sunday having a very pleasant catch up with Mark and Gary at Wallangarra - then we snuck into our carport - we are so glad we built it high rather than cheap - Nosey with Vicki sitting high above still fit in with room to spare. We are so excited about the new camper BUT Sue is just ecstatic.
