After travelling for 11 hours on the hard sleeper train and a short metro journey, I arrived at the Mingtown Etour International Youth hostel in Shanghai.
The Metro system worked pretty much like the Beijing subway. It is however £0.30 per journey instead of the £0.20 subway. Rip off!!!
At first glance, the hostel seems pretty clean and hotel like (apart from the face I'm sharing with 5 others.
It doesn't seem like there's air conditioning which may become a problem.
I'm now off out to get some lunch and do some investigation of what sports bars are around and open 24 hours (so I can catch the Swansea v Nottingham Forest match tonight).

Cath Wow, looks like you are having an amazing time. Hope you have you found somewhere to watch the match later. Have you got the scorpian juice out of your Forest shirt or are you leaving it there for good luck :)

Mum Sorry Duck!! Forest game just finished.. . Forest couldn't quite make it .. so it's Cardiff n Swansae to Wembly .. we'll have to wait another year now!! Dad said you weren't able to watch it anyway because bars closed at time you wanted to watch it. . Enjoy Shanghai .. glad yo got there safely .. Nitey Nitey!!God Bless x x x
