Six Months Baby
We eventually left Argentina, a country we were not planning to have an adventure in, back into a country that was quite expensive even compared to the rest of travelling. Anyway we eventually got to San Pedro after a lovely bus ride across the border, what fun we had. I was surrounded by little kids being sick and wanting to listen to my walkman, even when i was asleep he kept hitting me, poking me etc, i left him off as he was a funny kid and he kept us amused for 12 hour. We arrived at the Argentine border and everyones bags were checked, great fun. Then we were told we had to walk for 10 minutes into San Pedro by this time it was about 8pm, even more fun. We at last arrived in San Pedro, a very small, kind of shanty town but quite developed if you catch my drift, there was some really nice resturants and we found a small hostel which would do.
On our first day we went on a tour of the mountains they called the Lunes, as in the Moon. We saw some amazing sights and went on a little cave walk where you had to crawl through in the pitch black whcih was good fun. We also saw one of the best sunsets on our trip if ever, going down over the mountains, brilliant, i will get the pics up soon.
The next day we hired some bikes and sandboards yes, sandboards, and went for a 4km cycle to these huge sand dunes and did some sandbording, sadly my feet would not fit in the straps so i improvised and turned it into a sleg kind of thing, but i ended up swallowing alot of sand. Dan and Matt had great fun bording down the dunes, and they said it didnt hurt that much ever.
After our little 2 day adventure in San Pedro, a place they didnt even have an ATM, which we fully enjoyed in a place you wont find anywhere else, it was off to our last country Peru.
